The United Nations Environment Programme en.lighten initiative workshop on developing a legislative framework for lighting MVE was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 19 - 21 August 2014. It focussed on on providing best practice examples and targeted recommendations for the development of effective policy, legislation and administrative rules, enabling effective monitoring, verification and enforcement systems for efficient lighting.

The United Nations Environment Programme en.lighten initiative and lites.asia workshop on developing a legislative framework for lighting monitoring, verification and enforcement (MVE) was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 19 - 21 August 2014.

 

The workshop engaged invited government policy makers in building capacities for the development and strengthening of effective MVE systems for lighting. It also provided a discussion platform on the experiences, benefits and potential avenues for the development and harmonization of standards for lighting products in Southeast Asia and the Pacific.
